Matthias Büeler

Matthias Büeler leads the Deal Advisory practice at BDO Lucerne. He has broad experience in mid-market transactions, covering both local and major international transactions as well as succession planning, divestments, acquisitions, MBOs and capital raises.

Prior to joining BDO, Matthias worked for eleven years in the M&A department at PwC, most recently as Director and sector team lead for media & IT services. He was based in Zurich for nine years as well as two years in Toronto, Canada. Matthias’s past engagements include supporting more than 50 successful transactions with a deal value of between CHF 5 and CHF 500 million. He studied Finance at the University of Bern and Singapore Management University (MSc. Finance) and then qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of Stiftung Behindertenbetriebe Uri, a foundation set up to support people with disabilities, and serves on various committees within this role.
